Tokyo in pictures.
We’re back from Tokyo and in the tradition of the Wee family, we’ve plunged right back into the drama that characterises our lives. Yesterday, we had to trundle Bryan to the vet because he was looking poorly and whimpering whenever he moved. His hips turned out fine and there was nothing to indicate he was sick except for his behaviour, so he got a shot of anti-inflammatory medicine and was sent home with a $200 bill. Alison was also sent home from school, not with a bill, but with a fever that took a turn for the worse in the late evening. After she projectile vomited all over my bathroom, I decided that she should go straight to KKH A&E, so we packed her in the car and drove there. She was diagnosed as having gastro, given a suppository to bring her fever down, and kept under observation for an hour before being discharged. She’s still poorly today and it looks like she’ll be missing school tomorrow too. Hopefully she recovers soon.
Anyhow, I was saying, about the photos. I’m still adding photos from the thousands that K and I shot between our three cameras, so keep checking back. I think you can see from the shots that K and I enjoyed ourselves quite a bit, and this definitely won’t be the last time we’ll be visiting Japan. Here’s our five-day itinerary for the curious:
Day 1:
Arrive in Tokyo
Ueno Park for sakura
Ameyoko Market for dinner and shopping
Day 2:
Tsukiji fish market tour with Naoto-san
Tokyo Great Cycling Tour (route B)
Day 3:

Day 4:

Ochanomizu
Harajuku
Omotesando
Shibuya
Day 5:

Flight back to Singapore
And here’s the slideshow. Enjoy.
