Phuket round-up.

I didn’t take very many photos during the holiday because I was too busy pigging out, running after Zoe and generally doing things that make wielding a camera difficult, but here is our holiday in a nutshell.

We had a really early start with an 8am flight, which meant that we had to be at the airport at 6am, which meant waking the kids up at just after 5am.

Welcomed with leis.

We checked in to the JW Marriott Mai Khao Beach Club, which is awesome.

Choosing fresh seafood for dinner.

My dad rented a car, so we all piled in and drove for one hour to reach Patong, where we had a seafood dinner and did some shopping. By the time we left Patong, everyone was exhausted and super grouchy.

Me and my girls.

We swam every day. The sun was scorching, and all of us turned 3-4 shades darker.

Lo hei!

My parents whipped up a simple but yummy New Year meal, and we even had yu sang.

Lobster ravioli.

On our last night, we went to Cucina for dinner. It's supposed to be Asia's best Italian restaurant, and it certainly lived up to its fame. The lobster ravioli was to die for.

Home again.

We arrived home tired but happy to have had such a fun holiday!

More photos in the Flickr photo set. My mum has plenty of pool shots on her Mju Tough so I’ll upload those once I get them.
