A bucket hat for Alison.

For some reason, all the hats in our house seem to have disappeared. The only headgear that’s left is the pink hat with the zebra on it that Zoe modelled in the fashionista post. I figured since I have so much fabric lying around and a sewing machine that doesn’t get enough use, I’d make Alison a hat using this tutorial.

Cutting out the 12 pieces needed to make the hat was a real pain, but Alison loves her new hat, so all’s good. Of course, when Zoe saw it, a fight broke out. I had to promise to make Z one made of dinosaur fabric to mollify her, which means that I have to recalibrate the pattern to make a hat that will fit her little head.
